Automated data processing with the Task Queue
The Task Queue enables automated workflows, where you can create new tasks while another is running and schedule multiple tasks to finish sequentially. You are free to work on something else while MapTiler Engine works through the tasks you have assigned it. Set up tasks and let MapTiler Engine process them overnight or over the weekend using the Task Queue. Arrive at your desk to find your tiles rendered and uploaded to the cloud, ready for use!
Gain insight into completed Tasks with the Task Report
Keep up-to-date with how your completed tasks progressed. The new Task Report includes details about the inputs, processing and upload statuses, outputs, along with all the start and finish times. All the data is presented in a clear and structured format. You can find it on the Task Queue page via the Options menu.
Advanced task settings for more control
Some tasks need custom parameters, so we let you override the global defaults with the Advanced task settings. This feature lets you adjust the workflows within the task queue, assigning specific settings to each task. When the task automatically starts from the queue, it will use the new settings without you needing to be involved.
You can adjust parameters as needed or revert to the global defaults. If you save a task to a file, all its unique settings are preserved along with the other processing parameters.
Projects are now Tasks
Starting with MapTiler Engine 14.0, Projects are transitioning to Tasks to provide greater flexibility and functionality. Projects from previous versions remain fully compatible and can be opened in the new Task Queue with all the advantages, like retaining settings when saved as a file.
